Sexual wellbeing is an integral part of a person’s overall sense wellbeing. It closely linked to physical, sexual, and mental health. Despite this, sexual remains underexplored, including among young people (aged 16–24). This review aims gain greater understanding people’s experiences We will include qualitative research on lived related search PROSPERO, Medline, CINAHL, PsycINFO, SocINDEX utilising iterative approach. If the volume eligible studies for inclusion too large permit in-depth analysis, team purposively sample prioritise heterogeneity richness. The lead author assess eligibility studies, carry out data extraction, methodological quality all studies. wider independently screen papers’ title abstract, extract data, conduct assessments subset papers. Two reviewers papers at full text. draw QuART tool included utilise thematic synthesis approach synthesise produce analytical statements. apply GRADE-CERQual evaluate our confidence in each synthesis’ adopt reflexive throughout stages evidence (QES). Research be written up line with ENTREQ PRISMA-S standards. protocol this QES was prospectively published International Prospective Register Systematic Reviews (PROPERO) database under registration number CRD42022315593.
